Poland's Wet Easter Monday

The Monday following Easter is a national holiday in Poland. A chance to let one's hair down after the rigors of the Lenten season, it is celebrated as Dyngus Day. The nationwide water fight, as Dyngus Day has become, has its roots in ancient springtime pagan purification rituals and Christian baptism. Join in. It's good old-fashioned fun!
