At that time, Porabka Uszewka itself had 204 homes and 1132 residents while the territory of entire parish held 4766 Roman Catholic and 71 Jewish residents. (Jewish residents worshipped at either Brzesko or Wojnicz.)
The gem of this parish is Groty Matki Bozej z Lourdes - a religious sanctuary in the Diocese of Tarnow and replica of the grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes. The project was started in 1900 by Father Jan Palka, vicar of the parish, after his pilgrimage to Lourdes.
