Pisanki?
Actually, Malowanki - Wooden Polish Easter Eggs
Don't be too surprised that contemporary Polish Easter eggs are not all decorated with tight, finely-detailed, geometric patterns. Poland is a dynamic country, time continues forward, fashions change, and customs continue to evolve. It ain't your grandpa's Poland any more. Unless you live in a large metropolitan area with a sizeable population of new Polish immigrants, you are likely to become stuck in a time warp when it comes to Polish customs and culture. I like the "new" egg patterns as well as "old" ones. I think they reflect and celebrate the sense of freedom among Poles today.
