Rzepnik Parish was formed in 1581 and a permanent wooden church erected in 1701. The masonry church was built in 1914.In 1900, Rzepnik was in the Krosno administrative district and Krosno township (gmina). The sprawling Greek Catholic parish served about 12 nearby villages. Roman Catholics worshipped at Laczki while Jewish residents worshipped at Korczyna. In 1934, Rzepnik joined a schism with the Catholic Church and was incorporated into the Orthodox "Apostolskiej Administracji Lemkowszczynyzny". Following World War II, the forced removal of Lemko residents by the communist government caused its decline.
Today, the church is still functional and well-maintained, although it is unclear by whom.
