In the parish of All Saints and the Immaculate Heart of Mary at Straszecin, a grotto is being built for the Mother of God. In the wall was a laid stone brought from Lourdes. The parish's pastor, Father Boguslaw Czech, stresses that the construction of the grotto from the beginning was the idea of the parishioners. The idea was born in the same year as the group returned from a pilgrimage of the faithful to Marian shrines. Parishioners actively participate in the construction of the grotto. On the construction site pile up heaps of stone. All donated by the faithful. The stone from Lourdes is also a gift. It was given to Fr. Czeslaw Konwent, Diocesan Director of the Bureau of Pilgrimages and prelate of honor of the shrine at Lourdes. The stone has a special certificate of authenticity. It comes from the Grotto of Massabielle at Lourdes. The ceremony of laying the foundation stone was associated with indulgence in honor of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. On Sunday, July 3, 2011 at 11:00 AM countrymen celebrated the 25th anniversary of the ordination of Fr. Marian Szalwa. The sermon delivered by Fr. Czeslaw Konwent.
