Church of St. Mary Magdalen

The earliest known documents mentioning Miechocin Parish are dated 1185, but Jan Olko tells me the parish was founded between 1155 and 1166. Today the parish maintains its main church in Miechocin plus an auxiliary church in Nagnajow (dedicated as "Saints Peter and Paul").

In 1900, Miechocin and its neighboring villages were in the Tarnobrzeg administrative district and Tarnobrzeg township. Jewish residents of these villages worshipped at Tarnobrzeg, except for those residing in Nagnajow who worshipped at Baranow. There were no Greek Catholic residents recorded.
