The Church of Saint Stanislaus, Bishop/Martyr

Zrecin is one of the oldest Roman Catholic parishes in the area and was founded in perhaps the 11th Century. It is mentioned in documents of the Cysterian Cloister at Koprzywiczny in 1227. Records of the Diocese of Krakow mention the Decanate of Zrecin in 1326.

In 1900, Zrecin Parish and its villages were in the Krosno administrative district and Krosno township (gmina). Most Jewish residents worshipped at Krosno while those in Machnowka worshipped at Dukla. No Greek Catholics were recorded as residents.
