Cieklin Parish was established by the Diocese of Krakow in 1328. The current church was built in 1838-1848 and consecrated by the Bishop of Przemysl. Today, it is part of the Diocese of Rzeszow.

In 1900, Debowiec Parish and its villages were in the Jaslo administrative district and Jaslo township (gmina). Jewish residents worshipped in Jaslo. There were no Greek Catholic recorded as residents.
