Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary

The old rectory, "plebania".
The roots of Stobierna Parish go back to 1409 when the area was first settled, but it was originally part of Staromiescie Parish. Stobierna became an independent parish in 1789 when it held 352 homes, 1683 residents (1647 Roman Catholics and 36 Jews). It is today part of the Diocese of Rzeszow. The current church was built in 1891.

In 1900, Stobierna and Wulka pod Lasem were in the Rzeszow administrative district and Rzeszow township, while Jasionka was in the Rzeszow administrative district and Glogow township. Jewish residents of Jasionka and Sobierna worshipped at Glogow while those in Wulka pod Lasem worshipped at Rzeszow. There were no Greek Catholic residents recorded.
