This parish dates back to 1409 and is one of the older Roman Catholic parishes in the Rzeszow area. The current church was built in 1744. In 1890, Laka and its adjacent villages of Lukawiec, Palikowka, and Terliczka were in the Rzeszow administrative district and Rzeszow township (gmina). Jewish residents of all the villages worshipped in Rzeszow. No Greek Catholic residents were recorded, but the local Greek Catholic parish was at Zalesie. Parafia Laka is a part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rzeszow. |
