Trzesn Parish was founded in 1302 or 1325 and the current church was erected in 1899. Today, the parish maintains its main church in Trzesn plus auxiliary chapels in Furmany (Sw. Maksymiliana) and Orliska (Sw. Alberta Adama Chmielowskiego).

In 1900, Trzesn and its neighboring villages were in the Tarnobrzeg administrative district and Tarnobrzeg township (gmina). Jewish residents of these villages worshipped at Tarnobrzeg. There were no Greek Catholic residents recorded.
