| This parish dates back to 1971. Wait a minute, then why include it in a catalog of the old Polish Catholic parishes? Because the church of Saint Stanislaw is mentioned in the writings of eminent medieval Polish historian Jan Dlugosz (1415-1480). The structure was removed from Cmolas and re-erected in Poreby-Dymarskie in 1656-1660. Local residents fondly regard it as their "old church". In 1900, Poreby Dymarskie was in Cmolas Parish, the Kolbuszowa administrative district, and Kolbuszowa township (gmina). Jewish residents worshipped in Kolbuszowa. No Greek Catholic were counted among its residents. |
